What’s your daily skincare ritual?
I’m a passionate advocate for self-massage. To me, it’s not just skincare — it’s a ritual of self-love. It brings us back to a place of deep, unconditional connection with ourselves. In a world that constantly demands we be everywhere at once, it’s easy to feel depleted or ungrounded. That disconnection often leads us to look for fixes outside ourselves — like investing in expensive skincare routines. And while there’s nothing wrong with that, if it’s coming from a place of imbalance, it rarely brings true satisfaction.
My daily practice is rooted in simplicity and presence: I use organic, clean skincare — and by “clean,” I mean knowing who made the product, with what intention, and being mindful of ingredients. After meditation and yoga, I self-massage my face and body. It’s a grounding, loving ritual I’ve followed for years.
Do you have any favorite treatments or healing practices?
Absolutely. I meditate each morning around 5 a.m., often with a cup of ginger herbal tea. I do yoga and mobility work, weight train daily, and move as much as possible. Nature is essential to me, even though I live in the city. I’ve also come to deeply value practices like acupuncture, kinesiology, and osteopathy — they’re all forms of medicine in my life. And of course, self-massage remains at the core of my daily rhythm.
What’s your view on active ingredients like retinol, acids, or vitamin C?
Nothing is inherently wrong or bad — it’s all about the source, the formulation, and how it’s used. The concentration, frequency, and especially the carrier (the base of the product) matter deeply. The synergy of ingredients is what makes a product effective — or not. But more than that, the way we treat ourselves outside of skincare is foundational. That inner ground is where everything else takes root.
Do you think both natural oils and clinical actives can be effective?
Yes — and sometimes no. Their effectiveness depends on a number of factors: your lifestyle, diet, health history, emotional and hormonal balance, even your environment. For some, they can be incredibly effective. For others, they might not move the needle at all. It’s highly individual — the key is knowing yourself and where you are in your journey.
What does true beauty and skin health mean to you?
Unconditional self-love. It’s the lifelong work. When we truly love ourselves, we open the door to loving others, to creativity, to breath, to ease. That’s where true beauty begins — within.
